Georgian, UAE education ministers discuss joint projects, cooperation

Georgian Education Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari on Wednesday met his United Arab Emirates counterpart Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi to discuss the implementation of joint educational projects and future cooperation between the two countries on the sidelines of the ongoing World Governments Summit in Dubai.

The Georgian Ministry said the officials signed a memorandum aiming to strengthen the partnership between the two countries at “various levels” of education and science.

The body said organisation of joint scientific and educational visits, exchange of information on new technologies and implementation of exchange programmes for professors, trainers, experts and students would be facilitated by the parties within the agreement.

Amilakhvari, along with Aleksandre Tsuladze, the First Deputy Minister of Education, were taking part in the Summit where Levan Davitashvili, the Georgian Economy Minister, on Tuesday delivered a speech on his Government’s implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
