Pres. grateful for ADFD’s continuous assistance for Maldives’ development

Maldives is grateful for the continuous assistance the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has provided to the island nation’s progress, says President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

The president said this during talks with the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi on Monday.

The meeting was held as part of the Maldivian leader’s ongoing official trip to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), upon the official invitation of Vice-President, Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of UAE, Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit 2024, the Maldivian leader and the ADFD Director General engaged in extensive discussions regarding the long-standing bilateral relations between the Maldives and the UAE.

Discussions also focused on the generous contributions from the Abu Dhabi Fund for the development of the Maldives.

The meeting saw Muizzu expressing deep gratitude to the continuous assistance provided by ADFD to the progress of the island nation.

Expressed joy in the partnership between ADFD and the Maldivian government, the ADFD Director General reassured his unceasing commitment to support the Maldives in its development efforts.

They also touched upon areas of cooperation and the progress of ongoing development projects supported by ADFD.
